live & learn

The cycle of give and take is a natural rhythm the earth and most of its inhabitants are in sync with. With the main exception being us human beings - its indulgent infants.

Our elders and older beings sharing this planet with us have learned to move with the ebb and flow. We on the other hand have much to learn and improve yet.

if it's to me it's up to me

The wake we make is erratic and chaotic to the cycles and rhythms that have been around long before we were even possibilities in the murky muddy pool we first crawled out of.

sacred reciprocity

As the Aries full moon rises, it invites us to embrace the energy of intensity swirling around us. This lunation may bring feelings of tension and the urge to release pent-up emotions. It’s a perfect time to confront what’s been bubbling beneath the surface and create space for new beginnings.

Observe all the change happening around you and embrace it within.

supermoon blessings

This full moon is asking you to be brave, bold, and authentic. Your dreams are within reach, and now is the time to go after them with everything you’ve got. Embrace the changes coming your way and trust that they are leading you toward the life you’ve always wanted. ~ Alex Myles

To help you navigate this transformative period, call on the healing power of bloodstone to partner with the vibrant energy of the Aries full moon.

Bloodstone is known for its ability to enhance vitality and freshness, making it a perfect companion during this time of emotional release.

Emotionally, this Full Moon can feel like a rollercoaster. Aries’ fiery energy may stir up tension, especially if you’ve been bottling things up. Let yourself feel these emotions, but don’t let them control you. This is also a time for deep emotional healing.

The Full Moon shines a light on the areas where we need to grow and release old wounds. It’s time to forgive yourself, let go of past hurts, and move forward into a more empowered version of yourself.

Ultimately, this full supermoon in Aries is a powerful reminder that you are in control of your life. It’s time to release any fears or doubts that have been holding you back and step into your power.

The Universe is supporting you, but you have to be willing to take that first step. Trust that everything is happening for your highest good, even if it feels challenging right now.

Now is the time to harness the energy of this moon and work through those difficulties. Bloodstone holds the power to empower our journey, helping to clear the way for honesty and authenticity.

Embrace the energy of the Aries full moon and be guided towards clarity and courage to connect with our inner strength.

7 generations

"Your ancestors from long ago knew how to do this. They knew the power of the feminine principle. . . .and because you carry their DNA in your body, this wisdom and this way of being is within you.

Call on it. Call it up. Invite your ancestors in. As the yang-based habits and the decaying institutions on our planet begin to crumble, look up. A breeze is stirring. Feel the sun on your wings."

~ Message from the Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers

Grandmother Flordemayo & Unci Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance

We come from a family with shallow roots in the country of our birth. It is also the first time we have four generations living under the same roof.

Even with the help of a genealogy detective we have only managed to trace back to our sixth generation. Learning how to do ancestral healing work has been a huge gift.

We came as creators, not to be regurgitators. All of creation is energy - a combination of vibration and light. All humans have the ability to dream the world into creation.

We all hold energy that can be made manifest by the power of our intention. Clarity and discernment are key to the drive and focus that motivate the intent.

How we interpret and direct what motivates us. How we are driven and at the effect of our emotions. These dictate our results and outcome.

Get curious. Educate yourself and learn about matters beyond your circle of comfort and knowledge. Immerse yourself in the Self. Be part of the web of life.

Join our universe as a conscious creative contributor.

love & loathing

While the world is busy spinning all to dust I sit still and quiet at home. Shifting consciousness - mine and the planet's. Me to you. You to me. We to tree.

new cycle, new life

The full moon in Aries is peaking into our windows and awakening our inner fires on these cool nights. Mercury recently stationed direct, so hold tight while the dust settles.

Sun in Scorpio is right around the corner to welcome in the Season of the Witch. This is a favorite time of year for magic to sweep into our imaginations.

Are you feeling a pull toward a new direction? At long last, there is momentum in the air - a massive shift is taking place. The energy that has been building up to this full moon will offer you more clarity, drive, courage, and a strong desire to take action in an area of life you’ve been passionate about.

It will have you rethinking your approach toward your passions, life, your relationships and it may even inspire you to venture into a different direction all together.

ready to be ready

My goal was always to work from home, from back when I lived at the opposite side of the world. Living in overcrowded megapolises is no way to live. A city cemented over life brutalizes my provincial bones, leaving me with a constant need to get away and escape.

From the crush. From the noise. From the rush. From the viciousness.

When it was finally announced that we needed to shelter in place, the news was no surprise to me who had already chosen to isolate weeks before. Stay home. Don't see anyone. No being out and about. No social obligations. Yay!

Lots of uninterrupted time, finally - all to myself. All the opportunity to do whatever it is I wanted - just I, me, myself. Holed up within the bounds of my own sanctuary. I could. . . .

carved in stone

“Without minerals there is no life. Life learned how to make minerals, in teeth, bones and shells. People think these are separate, [i]t’s all part of a whole.” Dr. George Harlow, geologist and seasoned curator.

On a recent trip to New York City, we visited the newly refurbished Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals at the American Museum of Natural History.

The dazzling displays include meteorites, fossils, minerals, gemstones - rough and cut, new and old. All spectacularly displayed so each can shine in their own awesome spotlight.

The mission statement of the museum is: "To discover, interpret, and disseminate—through scientific research and education—knowledge about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe."

The newly reopened gems & minerals exhibit

Nowhere does this strike closest as in these immersive halls and exhibits that take us back in time to the origins of Planet Earth and the human race. There are over 5,000 minerals on earth and in the surrounding space around us, forming the substance of the world we evolved in and are made up of.

LEO full moon

All Full Moons offer us a chance to reflect on the growth of the seed planted at the previous New Moon. This Leo Full Moon is the offshoot of the intense Capricorn New Moon which was conjunct Pluto, a New Moon that called for soul growth and evolution. ~ Cathy Pagano - The Cosmic Story

The seeds we planted can bring about personal and cultural transformation and intense change. It won’t happen this week or even this year, but we are preparing the ground for it.

Instead of working to heal the Earth for future generations, bringing our infrastructure online with clean energy, creating jobs which pay a living wage, we get into inane ideological arguments that have spilled over into outright rage and rebellion.

We, the People, have to find a better way. Because if we don’t, nothing changes.

Wonder Woman 1984 movie poster

When I saw Wonder Woman 1984, I wasn’t exactly sure what it was supposed to be about. And then I realized that it was about how America was turned into a consumer society back in the 80s, when corporations steered our focus onto all our petty desires to the exclusion of the greater good. The corporate message was: if you just buy enough things, you’ll be happy (and they get wealthier).

But we didn’t get happier. Instead, we became a nation of consumers, who are never satisfied, but who feel entitled and exceptional. And instead of planning for a better future, we chose our own immediate gratification over the well-being of our children’s children’s future.

What if we decide to be restore instead of consume?

communing with spirit

Altars have always held a special fascination - it may be a childhood holdover from our tradition of visiting churches, especially when we are in a new place, genuflecting in front of a new altar and offering up some special intention.

Bacolod City Basilica, interior

Sacred sites and shrines can be so varied and different - serving an individual person, family or community. Both ancient and ageless - its purpose long lost through the eons. Whether a man made structure, a sacred space in nature, or a natural gathering place - they kindle our interest and can be quite awe inspiring.

When and where it is possible - listening to the stories that go with the why of how a shrine was erected or a space set aside for a sacred purpose, quiet contemplation, a physical reminder to pause and take life in - maybe even make an offering in return to express gratitude and appreciation.

emerging from our cocoons

The Scorpio/Taurus full moon occurs on Thursday, May 7 at 3:45am PDT/ 6:45am EDT/ 11:45am GMT. It is the last super moon of 2020 and the Wesak Festival.

Vesak Day - candle ceremony offered to the Buddha

The bright moon sheds light on what is hidden from our consciousness. As we re-engage in the world this Scorpio super moon mirrors what we long for - peace, joy, fulfillment.

This watery full moon brings issues of letting go of what no longer serves life. Other timely cosmic influences open up a powerful portal of compassion. Much needed for all of us affected and at the effect of this pandemic.

We came into this lifetime with a new vision to forge as the most conscious group of human beings this world has seen in millennia. We are the ones that we have been waiting for.

Ancient Beauty, as it were, shall pour over the land...
Ancient, Aboriginal, Primal Beauty...
Beauty that shall stop the Mind...
Beauty from all Pastime, blended into the NOW...
Beauty of unprecedented splendor shall flow across the land...
Primordial's Beauty has always been with us...
only now are we prepared to see... to BE.

Wesak Festival 2020 & Buddha's Full Moon

Wesak or vesak is celebrated in honor of the Buddha, the Divine Intermediary between Shambhala and the Hierarchy - the Wisdom of God, the Embodiment of Light, and the Indicator of Divine Purpose.

Wesak Day is the most important Buddhist holiday in the Buddhist calendar that celebrates three important events—the birth, full awakening, and the transition—of the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama.

The Buddha returns at this time each year to the Wesak Valley in the Himalayas to bring New Light to the world and help to regenerate the Earth.

The assembled masters, initiates and disciples of the Hierarchy receive Buddha's blessings and are initiated with Shambhala energy to radiate and spread worldwide.
