Welcome to eclipse season, the biannual period where back-to-back eclipses sow their usual chaos.

As if the summer's dual retrogrades of Mercury and Venus were not enough these October eclipses are the pivotal grand finale of our 2023 astrological year.

The October 2023 eclipse season features an annular solar eclipse on October 14 visible in the Americas. A shallow partial lunar eclipse also happens on October 28 visible from the eastern Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Today February 20 we are blessed by a new moon in Pisces - signaling a time filled with emotion, creative breakthroughs, and fantastical energy. This new moon will make us feel like we're living in a movie. 

On February 18, the sun enters Pisces - the last sign in the zodiac, signaling unity, merging and letting go. It was also Maha Shivaratri - a sacred day celebrating the convergence of Shiva and Shakti - the masculine and feminine energies which balance the world.

Cancer is a cardinal water sign. Represented by the crab, this oceanic crustacean seamlessly weaves between the sea and shore, representing Cancer’s ability to exist in both emotional and material realms. Ruled by the moon, the celestial body that represents comfort, self-care, and maternal energies.

In Hindu astrology the sign of Cancer is named Karka and its Lord is Moon. Divine associations with Cancer in Renaissance astrology are Luna and Diana, both goddesses that represent the Moon, Cancer's ruling planet.

Pluto has been retrograde since the 27th of April, the day after the Scorpio full moon, and we feel its intensity.

It's like some unwelcome 'ghosts of the past' have dropped by for some tea and sympathy.

And though I know I need to have a deep and meaningful with them to smooth out some wrinkles, and clear the air. It's still not fun, and in fact, deeply uncomfortable to have those conversations.

February’s full moon will help us realize the potential around us - our own and everything else. It will
open us, broaden our horizons, and encourage us to expand our minds and hearts beyond our current
reality.

Since the January eclipses things have been shaken up for many of us. Perhaps your path suddenly
changed or perhaps you simply started seeing things in a different light. Causing you to change your
attitude, beliefs, or life direction.

Life always has a way of pulling us in different directions. Which may not always be rosy or
comfortable. We have to trust that whatever we experience is here to lift us higher. Opening our hearts
to help us grow.

What the human mind may perceive as terrible or annoying, our soul may be rejoicing at. The lessons
we get to learn. The emotional range we get to experience. The life changing wisdom we get to
acquire.

So soak up those moonbeams and shine on sweet silver moon!
