season's spirit

“If ‘I think, therefore I am’ is true, we are people who are. We are, and we stand on this ground. If you deny us ground, you are denying us our ‘I am.’ Isn’t that negation of our existence? We are here and we are you and we are yours.” ~ Patrick Fealey, The invisible Man

Too true for all humans - badly needed and sadly lacking in our overwrought world. On my second year after closing up my apartment and locking my few must haves in storage - this definitely strikes a raw nerve.

My innate Cancerian nature requires a homey nest to keep me warm and cozy. I've relocated halfway around the world - going and coming, moving every two years, easily settling in, happy to call myself a global citizen.

My own space is a sought-after sanctuary at all times - however temporary or simple. As easy as it is for me to claim a place, its removal or lack can easily displace and cause concern. I value my solitariness and have worked for years to claim it absolutely.

In the 15 years away from and the last 15 back - there have been shifts and surprising realizations. Space can open up or shut down. Folks can accommodate or adjust, resent or be threatened. There are several pros and cons either way.

Family, friendship, connection, community - come under strain and are tested. Much is unearthed and revealed in the exchange. A migrant, an immigrating immigrant - what does it all entail? A refugee seeking refuge, a transplant being relocated, shelter and asylum.

Even when planned for and prepared success is not a given, countless concerns and challenges are faced, others along the way may not welcome or care. We exist and are in a world grown tense and tight, fearful and lacking.

Making it harder to hold and manifest, grasp and work our magic. May the spirit of the holidays come alive in our hearts and homes.

midwinter rites

Bonds of spirit, bonds of sisterhood. That is the glue that binds us together. In our blood and bones the cosmic web of life thrives.

Cocooned in the wintering womb of Gaia, earth goddess, mother nature - our inner self and all or creation hibernates within - infinite and insulated.

elemental sisters - water, earth, air, fire

All allied and at One - mind, body, soul - identity incarnate. In the bosom of an ever expanding cosmos augments the power of incubation.

eternal & infinite

For those of you who follow us, Sandra Ingerman is a beloved teacher and healer we post about regularly.

Recently she mentioned having the most amazing vision about finding our life force. She makes the distinction that life force is different than spirit or soul. You can read her new book for a deeper explanation.

The other night my consciousness was simply blown away by seeing a image of the life force of all of life that was connected to a life force of infinity. I wish i could explain it better. Maybe one day I will try and draw a picture.
This life force of the Earth connected to the life force of Infinity - where life never ends. An affirmation that there will always be life on this Earth.
While we try to integrate all these for obvious reasons the image of life force gives us strength and hope in this age of much dismemberment and shadow work.

A beautiful blue flowing flame that can never be extinguished - an image we can each hold close to our hearts to inspire and guide us.

celestial wonders

Beltane already? ! ? This is what happens when time becomes fluid and elastic. Speeding ahead or slowing down - shape shifting alchemy.

Lunar Beltane comes early this year and is a super moon as well. A continuation of accelerated growth many have been experiencing so far this year. Beltane is a celebration of the first bounty of blossoms and fruits of the harvest year - a soul experience.

transmutation vs transfiguration

transmutation [noun] - a change or alteration of one element into another; ascending to a higher or more advanced level or state

transfiguration [noun] - a change in appearance or form; a metamorphosis that exalts or glorifies

Johann Adam Schall von Bell (1 May 1591 – 15 August 1666) was a German Jesuit and astronomer, a missionary in China (where he is remembered as "Tang Ruowang") and adviser to the Shunzhi Emperor of the Qing dynasty.

Both science and mystical teaching agree that everything is energy. Including the creative approach to art and healing in various cultures and traditions.

Shamans and indigenous practitioners refer to this as shape shifting - the movement of energy at its most basic and intrinsic essence, in our blood and cells.

World religions have recorded some of this as well in their sacred scriptures. Transubstantiation is the belief that the body and blood of Christ is in the blessed wafer in the sacrament of communion.

Many sciences support transformation - genetics, statistics, economics, physics, chemistry, etc. Business, technology and entertainment certainly thrive on the transformative powers of assorted energies.

Sandra Ingerman extensively researched how ancient cultures performed miracles.  Discovering that the common element in spiritual systems of alchemy and healing was this shift in state of consciousness.

Experiencing life through Spirit involves some shared elements. A shift into a state of knowing that clearly presents the change desired to have it become so. Believing without doubt for the change to occur.

Somehow the sacredness and ceremony in the process of creating magic or miracles have been buried, lost or forgotten.

Is it because we take for granted what we so easily access? Losing our awe. Or have we grown too comfortable in time and with its use? No longer attendant to how special it is. Did we disconnect from our surroundings and true nature? Unrecognized and inured.

Whatever the cause of this apathy it is time to bring back our passion - for life, our life, our world.

shamanic chakras

Today's healing post comes to us from the Four Winds Society.

2016 AUG 16 THE BRIDGE TO ETERNITY

While practitioners of yoga recognize seven chakras, my mentor, Don Antonio, taught me that we have nine. Seven of them are within the physical body, and two are outside the body.

He called the eighth chakra the Wiracocha, which is the name of the Creator or Great Spirit (the word means sacred source).

The eighth chakra corresponds to the Christian concept of the soul, which is personal and finite. Its source is the ninth chakra, Spirit, which is impersonal and infinite.

We call this center a chakra for lack of a better name. In reality it is the dwelling place of Spirit – the spirit of every thing in the Universe.

The ninth chakra is the Self that has never been born and will never die. This Self is prior to time, and it never enters the river through which time flows.

It is prior to space and existed before the Universe manifested. This is the Self that never left the Garden of Eden.

When this center is awakened, there is a deep, rumbling laugh that echoes over the mountains and thunders across the sky.
