ready to be ready

My goal was always to work from home, from back when I lived at the opposite side of the world. Living in overcrowded megapolises is no way to live. A city cemented over life brutalizes my provincial bones, leaving me with a constant need to get away and escape.

From the crush. From the noise. From the rush. From the viciousness.

When it was finally announced that we needed to shelter in place, the news was no surprise to me who had already chosen to isolate weeks before. Stay home. Don't see anyone. No being out and about. No social obligations. Yay!

Lots of uninterrupted time, finally - all to myself. All the opportunity to do whatever it is I wanted - just I, me, myself. Holed up within the bounds of my own sanctuary. I could. . . .

that was Zen - this is Tao

sing a new life into being

The New World Order that the conspiracy theorists fear is a shadow of the glorious possibility available to sovereign beings. No longer the vassals of fear, we can bring order to the kingdom and build an intentional society on the love already shining through the cracks of the world of separation. ~ Charles Eisenstein, The Coronation

These past few months have sequestered us in isolation, given us the gift of time, and allowed us to reconsider our priorities.

By interrupting lives, systems and patterns are revealed, habits and direction can be reviewed - what was consuming compulsion could evolve into conscious choice.

The act of keeping us home offers changes to our habitual thinking, feeling and doing. We can reignite old flames or kindle new fires. As step away from the heat o one another and the rush of spinning wheels.

Climate changes have eased up and nature has reclaimed much lost to human interference and abuse. We can shift and adapt too - flow together and around each other. Merge and mingle as we trade ideas and allow ourselves to be awed and amazed.

Staving off grasping greed and oversized cravings with gentler and more tender love and connection. Compassionate give and take in relationship, family and community. Returning to natural rhythms that are more honoring and respectful.

Returning the sacred in our daily doings with care and ceremony. Burn away pretentions and pomp to reveal our true essence and original being.

As smoke clears, as sludge falls away, what shows up are the mirrors we all are to each other. May we walk in beauty in this sacred way each and every day.
