may we walk in beauty

The Navajo phrase, step in beauty imbues each moment and movement with a goodness that sustains our life force.

Do we allow the space in our lives to allow the goodness to seep into us and let ourselves absorb this energy?

Most of us are often taught it is better to give than to receive - forgetting an entire dimension of life force nurturing and nourishment.

To absorb and digest the amazing frequencies we are exposed to can deepen the connection we have every minute of our day.

Consider the difference between looking at the sun versus absorbing its healing rays into our body. Or seeing how beautiful a tree is and absorbing the fragrance of its healing terpenes.

This is what it means to walk in beauty - every step offered in a prayer of blessing. To be present to the beauty all around - above, behind, beside, before.

The repetition of word and intention in this Navajo prayer both reminds us of the beauty which envelopes us and awakens us to its beauty.

Practice walking in beauty, step by step. Through the returning seasons, in our depletion and elation.

May the trail of beauty guide and guard us. May we leave a trail of beauty in our wake.
