transmutation vs transfiguration

transmutation [noun] - a change or alteration of one element into another; ascending to a higher or more advanced level or state

transfiguration [noun] - a change in appearance or form; a metamorphosis that exalts or glorifies

Johann Adam Schall von Bell (1 May 1591 – 15 August 1666) was a German Jesuit and astronomer, a missionary in China (where he is remembered as "Tang Ruowang") and adviser to the Shunzhi Emperor of the Qing dynasty.

Both science and mystical teaching agree that everything is energy. Including the creative approach to art and healing in various cultures and traditions.

Shamans and indigenous practitioners refer to this as shape shifting - the movement of energy at its most basic and intrinsic essence, in our blood and cells.

World religions have recorded some of this as well in their sacred scriptures. Transubstantiation is the belief that the body and blood of Christ is in the blessed wafer in the sacrament of communion.

Many sciences support transformation - genetics, statistics, economics, physics, chemistry, etc. Business, technology and entertainment certainly thrive on the transformative powers of assorted energies.

Sandra Ingerman extensively researched how ancient cultures performed miracles.  Discovering that the common element in spiritual systems of alchemy and healing was this shift in state of consciousness.

Experiencing life through Spirit involves some shared elements. A shift into a state of knowing that clearly presents the change desired to have it become so. Believing without doubt for the change to occur.

Somehow the sacredness and ceremony in the process of creating magic or miracles have been buried, lost or forgotten.

Is it because we take for granted what we so easily access? Losing our awe. Or have we grown too comfortable in time and with its use? No longer attendant to how special it is. Did we disconnect from our surroundings and true nature? Unrecognized and inured.

Whatever the cause of this apathy it is time to bring back our passion - for life, our life, our world.

sing a new life into being

The New World Order that the conspiracy theorists fear is a shadow of the glorious possibility available to sovereign beings. No longer the vassals of fear, we can bring order to the kingdom and build an intentional society on the love already shining through the cracks of the world of separation. ~ Charles Eisenstein, The Coronation

These past few months have sequestered us in isolation, given us the gift of time, and allowed us to reconsider our priorities.

By interrupting lives, systems and patterns are revealed, habits and direction can be reviewed - what was consuming compulsion could evolve into conscious choice.

The act of keeping us home offers changes to our habitual thinking, feeling and doing. We can reignite old flames or kindle new fires. As step away from the heat o one another and the rush of spinning wheels.

Climate changes have eased up and nature has reclaimed much lost to human interference and abuse. We can shift and adapt too - flow together and around each other. Merge and mingle as we trade ideas and allow ourselves to be awed and amazed.

Staving off grasping greed and oversized cravings with gentler and more tender love and connection. Compassionate give and take in relationship, family and community. Returning to natural rhythms that are more honoring and respectful.

Returning the sacred in our daily doings with care and ceremony. Burn away pretentions and pomp to reveal our true essence and original being.

As smoke clears, as sludge falls away, what shows up are the mirrors we all are to each other. May we walk in beauty in this sacred way each and every day.

crucified between a rock & a hard place

This week's schizoid weather resembles one of Trump's pandemic rhetorical performances. Where he tries in growing desperation and confusion to cover all his bases, shirk responsibility and lay blame elsewhere.

Just like this Fool on the Hill blustery gales have ravaged fragile blooms off trees and grounded sea craft on our shores. One day we are all bright sunshine and clear blue skies and next we are in the midst of heavy rain and wild thunderstorms.

Wet, Glass, Rain Drops, Thunderstorm, Dark Clouds

This Good Friday truly feels like crucifixion weather. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Do what? Don't what?

Wear a face mask or don't? Stay indoors or don't?

Be patient or don't. Don't complain? Stay silent?

As the corona virus mutates into three distinct strains - our only current world traveler and globe trotter has outpaced us all and is wearing us down with each passing day.

I have been reading books about conservation - nature, humans, how we collide and connect. Recently I realized that I was reading them because I wanted one to tell me how to piece back our world and our lives. Before this brink of extinction.

In my dreams, I journey in other dimensions. I dream that my life is still afloat and undecided, that it is still conceivable we will come out okay.

I don’t dream of a time that has never existed, neither do I dream of our recovery. I dream of soaking in bright sunshine. I dream of floating in warm waters. I dream of clean air and a soft sweet breeze.

I wish our shared time will simply go on.

Then I open my eyes and wake to this pain.

I cling to dream time for as long as I can before I forget.

hope for us all

We find ourselves in a metamorphosis of sorts. Every crisis provides the culture for one. A lot of us are feeling isolated, cut off from our loved ones, and terribly uncomfortable with the uncertainty of what is to come.

A darkness of fear and anxiety closes in on us periodically or incessantly. We might be mourning the loss of a job or worse, someone we love. Life as we knew it before this pandemic is over.

We ask the leaders, how long is this going to last? How is the economy going to recover? When will there be a cure? What is the real mortality rate? Why weren’t we better prepared? Why don’t we have more testing available?

And their answer continues to be “We don’t know”. The unknown can be absolutely terrifying. Until we remember that we have never known. ~ Kelly Gores, Director of the HEAL Documentary, Author of the HEAL book

Much of what we believed unshakable givens have all too quickly been blown away like the house of cards they have always been. Many sit at home eager to get back to the lives they lived. It has not sunk in that this is it - our lives have already changed.

Use this time wisely to get to know who you are and what you want. Dig deep and far into every nook and cranny of your interior. Strengthen and fortify your confidence and belief in yourself.

So when the world finally opens up to us once more we are better and can contribute more as that will be sorely needed in this new future unleashed upon our old unwilling selves.

It is a brave new world that will require every ounce of our courage and commitment to live well and responsibly. As we will be held to account for it for sure.
